Our outdoor area at Killowen is like another classroom used on a daily basis. All of the learning is planned for in the same way as indoors. We go out every day in all weathers and put on boots and puddlesuits to keep us warm and dry. Children have the opportunity to make potions in the mud kitchen, construct with real equipment, climb and balance and experience natural resources as well as creative and imaginative play. It's lots of fun!

We are fortunate to have a newly developed outdoor space with a dedicated forest school area.  This allows the children to engage with nature and carry out fun forest school activities, while developing all areas of learning, for example language, social skill as well as a love of nature.
